PU cancels two students’ hostel allotment over indiscipline

LAHORE: (Saturday, October 25, 2025): Punjab University has cancelled the hostel allotment of two students for violating discipline. According to the PU spokesperson, the Chairman Hall Council took action against two students, Jawad Ahmad from the Department of Political Science and Sohail Afnan from the Department of Journalism, for misbehaving, using abusive language, and attacking a watchman and issued charge sheets against them. The spokesperson said that the departmental disciplinary committee will decide whether the students should be expelled from the university or suspended for one year. He added that the student from the Department of Journalism was residing in Hostel No. 7, while the student from the Department of Political Science was residing in Hostel No. 4. The spokesperson further said that the Vice Chancellor has given clear instructions that misconduct with employees will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He added that the majority of PU students are disciplined, and strict action will continue against those violating university rules.
