LAHORE: (Sunday, February 15, 2026): Punjab University has concluded the National Outreach Program for Faculty (NOPF) and the National Outreach Program for Management (NOPM) with a joint closing ceremony held at the Institute of Administrative Sciences. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, Managing Director, National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad Dr Noor Amna Malik, Training Coordinator Dr Sania Malik, President Academic Staff Association Dr Amjad Magsi, faculty members and others were present.

In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali termed the programs an unmatched opportunity for participants to realize and utilize their full potential. He stressed the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and a continuous learning orientation, focusing on unique individual strengths. Referring to the inclusive principles of Sufism, where equality and mutual respect transcend divisions of classes or sects, he urged participants to embody these values in their professional lives. He congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of the Training Coordinator Dr Sania Malik, for successfully organizing the programs.
Dr Noor Amna Malik conducted an interactive and intellectually stimulating session with participants of the Management Officers Training Program, which participants described as uplifting and highly engaging. She expressed her deep appreciation for the successful execution of both programs and shared her admiration for the Vice Chancellor’s spirit of leadership. She encouraged participants to align with the University’s vision and serve as ambassadors of professional development within their respective departments. Emphasizing the importance of cascading the learning, she urged participants to transfer the acquired knowledge and skills to their workplaces. She also announced that the participants would be considered for international training opportunities in the future and shared that NAHE plans to initiate a specialized training program for Heads of Departments in the next phase. She congratulated the participants on completing this significant journey of learning and growth.
Dr Amjad Magsi highlighted the meaningful role participants can play in fostering positive transformation within the University.
Earlier, Dr Sania Malik presented an overview of both programs, outlining their scope, modules, and outcomes. She expressed gratitude to NAHE for the generous grant of PKR 3.9 million that enabled the successful conduct of the initiatives and shared that participants were highly appreciated by all resource persons, reflecting the strong human capital of the University of the Punjab. The participants also expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates among the participants. The event was also attended by Dean Faculty of Health Sciences Prof Dr Rehan Sheikh, Director ORIC Dr Aqil Inam, Director IAS Dr Kashif Rathore, Deputy Director NAHE Muhammad Muneeb and Resident Auditor Rai Hassan Rauf.
