The University of Home Economics, Lahore, hosted a commemorative ceremony marking the birth anniversary of the Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The event was held at the university’s main auditorium and was attended by scholars, students, and dignitaries from across the country.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Learning at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, served as the *Chief Guest*. In his keynote address, Prof. Kamran delivered a special lecture entitled _“The Wisdom and Universal Approach of Allama Iqbal’s Poetry.”_ He explored various dimensions of Iqbal’s oeuvre, emphasizing its philosophical depth and continued relevance to contemporary issues.

During the lecture, Prof. Kamran underscored that the primary sources of Iqbal’s poetry are the Qur’an and Hadith, which render his verses a genuine reflection of Islamic ideology. He elaborated on how Iqbal’s synthesis of spiritual insight and modern thought offers guidance for today’s societies.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to the organizers, faculty members, and participants who contributed to the success of the event.
