The 1st International Symposium on Current Trends in Microbiology and Plant Pathology, chaired by Prof. Dr. Amna Shoaib, Chairperson of the Department of Plant Pathology, and organized by Dr. Adnan Akhter, brought together distinguished national and international experts to exchange knowledge and discuss emerging innovations shaping the future of microbiology and plant pathology. ![]() The event featured a series of thought-provoking presentations. Prof. Dr. Mujahid Rasool from the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies, Germany, shared valuable insights on the EU Common Agricultural Policy and sustainable plant protection management. Dr. Sohail Akhter from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, discussed current trends and future scenarios in plant pathology, while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamer Mehmood from GCU Faisalabad highlighted the potential of algae-based carbon recycling for sustainable agriculture.
