Pakistan Armed forces taught India a historical lesson: Speaker Punjab Assembly LAHORE: (Tuesday, May 20, 2025): Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan has said that Pakistan’s Air Force, Army and Navy have taught India a historic lesson and Pakistan’s Armed Forces have made the nation proud in front of the world in a brilliant manner. ![]() He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of a three-day 12th international conference on education (ICORE), organized by Punjab University Institute of Education and Research, at Faisal Auditorium on Tuesday. ![]() On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, Allama Iqbal Open University VC Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood, Government College University Faisalabad VC Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam, Jhang University VC Prof Dr Faheem Aftab, Emerson University Multan VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ramzan, University of Gujarat VC Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq, renowned educationist Dr Shahid Siddiqui, Chairman TEVTA Brig (r) Sajid Khokhar, IER Director Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry, Conference Secretary Prof Dr Muhammad Shahid Farooq, educationists, researchers, teachers and a large number of students from various universities were present. In his address, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan said that Pakistan played the role of a frontline state in the war against terrorism. “In the war against terrorism, the army and people of Pakistan sacrificed more than 90,000 lives and suffered billions of dollars in losses, so how can India accuse Pakistan of terrorism?”, he questioned. He said that by making allegations without evidence, India attacked our sovereignty in the dark of night and unilaterally blocked Pakistan's water. He said that Pakistan has demonstrated its skills and courage before the world. He said that today's era is the most proud in my life. He said that the current era is the era of technological superiority, and technology played an important role in the recent Indo-Pak war. He said that the narrative created by our youth in the Indo-Pak war was recognized by the world. He said that there was no technology in the school education system during our era. He said that learning skills with technology is a sign of our survival and progress. He said that the new generation is fortunate to be studying with modern technology. He said that he was very happy to participate in the conference of PU. Addressing the youth, he said that it is very important for them to get modern knowledge. He said that laws are also to be made to regulate artificial intelligence, but there is no such expert in the assembly. He said that an agreement is being made with a university to teach artificial intelligence to members of the assembly so that the members of the assembly who make laws gain skills. He hoped that the best working papers will come out in the three-day international conference. Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that we are proud of the courage and wisdom with which the Pakistan Army has fought the Indian aggression. He said that we pay tribute to the army and political leadership for the use of the best strategy and technology. He said that we are grateful to Allah Almighty who has bestowed us with a clear victory. He said that in the light of the events that have taken place in the last two weeks, it can be seen that knowledge is the most important thing to survive and technology also comes from knowledge. He said that the future of Pakistan lies in unity, science, technology and the promotion of knowledge. He said that steps are being taken to promote artificial intelligence in every department of PU. He said that teachers should play their role in removing the youth from despair, reducing anger and instilling tolerance. He said that for peace and tranquility in the society, we have to follow the teachings of Sufis, eliminate our egos and respect the opinions of others. He congratulated the organizers for organizing an excellent conference. Prof Dr Nasir Mahmood said that students should equip themselves with practical skills in relevant fields. He said that universities can only train them but they have to learn to make it effective yourself. He said that students should know how to use technology. Dr Rauf-e-Azam said that Punjab University organized such a good conference according to the requirements of the time, which is commendable. He said that for the future of Pakistan, we have to formulate the best strategy and create such institutions that can benefit students. Prof Dr Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry thanked Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali for his cooperation in organizing the successful conference. He said that renowned national and international educationists, researchers and scholars is participating in the three-day conference and will share their research papers, experiences and presentations in different sessions.
