PU, Nanjing University sign MoU


LAHORE: (Wednesday, September 13, 2017): Punjab University and one of China’s leading universities, Nanjing University, have signed a memorandum of understanding for initiating joint scientific research projects on China Pakistan Economic Corridor and to enhance cooperation in other fields. In this regard, a MoU signing ceremony was held at committee room of Vice Chancellor’s office in which PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Iqbal Chawla, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Nanjing University’s Vice President Prof Dr Zhu Qingbao, Director History Department Prof Dr Yu Wenjie, Director External Linkages Dr Fauzia Hadi Ali, deans of various faculties and faculty members were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that cooperation amongst Pakistani and Chinese universities in various areas of mutual interest was need of the hour to strengthen Pak-China relations further. He said that PU and Nanjing University would launch joint research projects on various aspects of CPEC and there would be exchange of delegations between the two universities. Dr Zhu Qinbao stressed the need to enhance cooperation in various academic fields between the two universities and invited PU delegation to visit Nanjing University.
