PU IAGS organizes seminar on Agricultural Research


LAHORE: (Wednesday, August 30, 2017): Punjab University Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAGS) has organized a seminar on “Prospects of Agricultural Research (Current & Future)” in its seminar room. PU Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan, Provincial Head of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited Rao Abdul Munam Khan, Director IAGS Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Haider, Ms Marwa Zafar from University of California, Davis, USA, Dr Muhammad Arshad Javed from University of Technology & Management, Malaysia, Chairman Agronomic Research Board Sajid Iqbal Sandhu, Ayub from Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, Dr Muhammad Bilal Chattha Assistant Professor (Agronomy), scientists from various research organizations, academia & agro-industries and progressive farmers participated in the seminar.

In his address, Dr Muhammad Saleem Haider said that the scientists of IAGS were playing their role in resolving the problems being faced by farmers so that the country as well as the nation could benefit from the agricultural products. Ms. Marwa and other speakers shared their experiences on the latest agricultural research going on in the world and Pakistan. They compared Pakistani agriculture with the modern world and also gave different models to improve the Pakistani Agriculture.
