Lecture on "Forensic Psychology and Role of Polygraph"

Institute of Applied Psychology held a lecture on “Forensic Psychology and Role of Polygraph” on May 12th, 2022 at Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab. The lecture was arranged by Prof. Dr Farah Malik. Mr Abid Ayub was the resource person. He is a Forensic Scientist and Incharge of Polygraph Department-Punjab Forensic Science Agency, Lahore. Mr Abid Ayub talked about the importance of Forensic Psychology and how Forensic Psychologists can play a pivotal role in applying principles of psychology to law. He discussed factors related to crime and ways to prevent them. The lecture was followed by the discussion on the Role of Polygraph in detecting deception. It was a new learning experience for the students of IAP that gave insight to explore different career opportunities in Forensic Psychology. Institute of Applied Psychology believes in academic excellence to enhance the exposure of the students.
