PU HCBF organizes Seerat seminar


LAHORE: (Wednesday, December 4, 2019): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking & Finance (HCBF) has organized a ceremony to pay tribute to Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). HCBF Principal Prof Dr Mubbsher Munawar Khan, renowned scholar Syed Sarfraz Ahmad Shah, faculty members and administrative staff and a large number of students attended the ceremony. In his keynote address, Syed Sarfraz emphasized upon the audience to apply the golden principles of the Seerat-Un-Nabi (PBUH) in their real life. He said that a Muslim always had an urge to become acquainted with the way of living of our beloved prophet (PBUH) and yearned to gain knowledge about it. He said that it was also our religious obligation to learn and follow Seerat-Un-Nabi (PBUH) and a need of time to reorganize our society according to Islamic values. He said that tolerance and forgiveness were the traits of the Prophet (PBUH) which led to the path to Allah. He said that Muslims were born to promote humanity, brotherhood and fraternity. HCBF Principal Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan stressed upon the need to groom younger generation in the light of the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). He emphasized upon holding such ceremonies as it was the responsibility of academia as well. He said that the researchers should come forward and explore areas of business ethics and disclosures from the life of our great prophet (PBUH). Commenting on the options for revival of society, Prof. Dr. Mubbsher said that following the footprints of our prophet (PBUH) is the only recourse for revival and survival of Ummah. Representatives of student’s community were zealous. They expressed their gratitude to the college management, particularly Prof. Dr. Mubbsher for providing them an opportunity to reaffirm their faith and express their love for the prophet (PBUH).
