Genocide of Muslims going on: PU VC


LAHORE: (Thursday, March 3, 2016): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that genocide of the Muslims is going on and they were facing destruction only because of lack of knowledge. He was addressing Punjab University College of Pharmacy’s 3rd degree awarding ceremony at Pearl Continental Hotel here on Thursday.

Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr Khalid Hussain, Principal College of Pharmacy Prof Dr Nadeem Irfan Bukhari, Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Convener Dr Nawazish Hussain, faculty members and a large number of degree holder students were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that the Muslims were so much ignorant that they even could not count their dead bodies and this work was done by an Australian Jewish scientist and medical doctor Gideon Polya. He said that in his book “Body Count” Gideon Polya said that there had been 1.3 billion avoidable deaths during the period 1950-2005 of which 600 million were Muslims. He said the leadership of our country had not realized that the 750 verses of Holy Quran, which is 1/8th part of the Holy Book, stressed to focus on resolving the mysteries of the universe. He said that focusing on education was a matter of understanding for both the leadership and the people. He said that America’s GDP was around 17 trillion and it spent 2 to 3 percent i.e. 340 to 510 billion dollars on research and development per year while Pakistan had a GDP of around 250 billion dollars only and was spending only 0.2 percent on research and development per year.

He congratulated the graduating students and advised female students not to stay at home after completing their degrees but join profession and serve the country and humanity. As many as 162 degrees were distributed among passed students of Doctor of Pharmacy and two gold medals were awarded to Ms Iqra on getting first position in the degree program.
