PU IAP organizes seminar


LAHORE: (Tuesday, March 15, 2022): In connection with Women’s Day, Punjab University Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP) has organized a seminar on "Gender Equality is Essential for a Sustainable Tomorrow". On this occasion, Federal Ombudsman for Harassment Ms Kashmala Khan was the chief guest while Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Prof Dr Umbreen Javed, CEO Stibnite Solutions Ms Shaista Hasan, Educationist and Clinical Psychologist Ms Komal Faisal, an entrepreneur Ms Washfa Mushtaq, Dr Attiya Anjum, Director IAP Prof Dr Rafia Rafique, Dr Fatima Kamran, Dr Saima Ghazal and Dr Afifa Anjum, faculty members and students were present. In her address, Ms Kashmala highlighted the role of women in different sectors of society. She shared her struggles as a woman and motivated young girls. He shed light on the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection against Harassment, which had been developed to protect the rights of women. She educated the young girls how to take help from the government institutions. Dr Rafia Rafique asserted that it was the capabilities of women that whatever role they take up, they could excel in the field.
