Institute of Applied Psychology arranged a webinar entitled "Effective communications skills for a successful professional career during Pandemic". Ms. Barira Bakhtawar, a Ph.D Scholar and researcher in the field of Media Economics and Media Management renowned radio broadcaster discussed and highlighting the negative impact of pandemic on psychological well-being of masses and how the new normal has entirely altered the workspace. She discussed the challenges of remote working and with a focus on effective communications skills and science of speaking up.She stressed on the importance of empathy and compassion while corresponding remotely with the colleagues. The crux of the webinar was that despite pandemic, we should not let go of our goals in life and by utilizing effective communications skills we can make the most of the stressful situation. Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique concluded the webinar on the note that through efficient communication skills, the rift between the communicators can be handled which will be beneficial in creating a healthy workspace.
